The parties of genocide still rule Serbia. They have a hegemonic mentality and do not recognise the capitulation of Slobodan Milosevic. The project for a Greater Serbia, called 'Serbian World', has no limits. Aleksandar Vucic wants to be a greater Milosevic than himself.
This is what Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said at a conference in Sarajevo, BGNES reported.
"Belgrade must recognize the capitulation of Milosevic. But they do not respect that, which means they want a new capitulation. They tell us that Milosevic was a great leader, but made several mistakes. Zeljka Cjanović and Milorad Dodik want to present themselves as greater Serbs than Vucic and greater Russians than Putin. Vucic wants to show himself as a bigger Milosevic than Milosevic himself," the Kosovo prime minister said.
Kurti explained that Kosovo is investing in security forces because it has a northern neighbour with a hegemonic mentality that organises terrorist attacks to trigger a "religious war".
"Kosovo's security comes down to border security because the project of Greater Serbia, called 'Serbian World', has no borders," he clarified.
Kurti noted that the relations between Kosovo and Serbia are abnormal because "Serbia is not a normal state".
"Tomorrow (referring to 7 December) is 23 years since I got out of the Serbian prison, but Serbia has not been out since the time I was imprisoned there," he pointed out.
"While Milosevic grew up with the myth of Kosovo, four decades later Vucic is falling on the reality of Kosovo. Instead of being angry, the regime in Belgrade should be ashamed... Serbia denies the genocide in Kosovo, denies the genocide in BiH, denies the massacre in Srebrenica and the massacre in Racak. They deny their criminal past because it will prove that they would repeat what they did if they had the chance again", Albin Kurti insisted.
The prime minister stressed that it is important that Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina strengthen themselves so that Serbia "does not repeat its crimes".
"The problem in the Western Balkans is that there are politicians above the law and criminals outside the law. It is these structures that fuel tensions in our region and threaten new conflicts and wars," he continued.
Kurti, as he "knows them very well in Belgrade", interpreted the messages about the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the following way:
"They say it out of fear that they themselves will break up... After the break-up of the former Yugoslavia, Serbia is afraid that it is its turn to break up. Serbia wants to divide Bosnia out of fear that it will divide itself further. They are talking about some imaginary annexation of Republika Srpska, not to talk about autonomy for Vojvodina", the Kosovo prime minister said, receiving thunderous applause from the audience.
Kurti praised Kosovo as a "democratic state" that "is dealing with Serbia with the force of law and has been winning for three and a half years".
He also said that he defends the rights of Serbs, arguing that they are "freer" and that only now "we have real integration". Albin Kurti also said that in Brussels they no longer talk about the status of Kosovo, but about the status of Serbia and that he was "honoured to be invited to contribute".
