The prime minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico injured in shooting

This was confirmed at the plenary meeting of the National Council of the Slovak Republic Ljubos Blaha and suspended the work of the current session indefinitely.

According to JOJ TV, a man from the crowd started shooting at the prime minister after he came out to greet the residents of Handlova.

According to witnesses who were at the scene of the incident, Fico approached the people who greeted him, and then several shots were fired. Fitzo then fell to the ground.

The police detained the alleged attacker and cordoned off the area around the building.

President Zuzana Chaputova strongly condemned the "brutal and reckless" attack on the Prime Minister. "I am shocked. I wish Robert Fizzo strength to recover from the attack at this critical time." /BGNES
