ATP Finals: Zverev beat Rublev in a match that doesn't matter, Djokovic and Alcaraz face off today

Germany's Alexander Zverev defeated Russia's Andrei Rublev 6-4, 6-4 in a final match of the Red Group of the ATP Finals that was irrelevant to the final standings. Both players had no chance of advancing to the tournament's semifinals after Carlos Alcaraz's victory over Daniil Medvedev earlier on Friday.

After the success of the Spaniard, for only the second time since 2004, the first four in the world ranking will play in the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament. Tonight at 22:00 Bulgarian time there is an intriguing clash between the leader in the rankings Novak Djokovic and the second in the world Alcaraz. This will be the fifth match between the two, having split the wins in the previous four. Before that, from 15:30 world number 3 Daniil Medvedev will meet Italian Yannick Sinner, who is the only one without a loss in Turin so far. Medvedev has six wins and two losses against Sinner so far. /BGNES
