Bulgarian boxing stars Kubrat and Tervel with a record weight on the scales in Costa Mesa

Kubrat and Tervel Pulevi broke records for the highest personal weight on the scales before their matches tomorrow morning, bTV reported. They will fight at a gala night in Costa Mesa, California. The show in the famous "Hangara" hall starts at 05.00 Bulgarian time.

Tervel Pulev nailed 96.763 kg for his match against Dionardo Miner (USA). This is the reason why the match is fixed at heavyweight. The American was even heavier – 97.603 kg. The likely reason for the high kilos is an agreement between the two headquarters. Tervel Pulev's highest personal weight before a professional match so far was 95.9 kg in 2017.

It will be the fourth American professional opponent for the 2012 London Games bronze medalist. In his previous bout, again in Costa Mesa, the younger brother of the famous boxing family broke a rib but still knocked out Joel Hodggreen.

Kubrat Pulev also broke his peak as a professional boxer for the highest weight. The cobra weighs 116.6 kg. before the fight with Andrzej Wawrzyk (POL). This is only 600 grams more than the previous record for the match with Kevin Johnson in 2017. The Pole is 112 kg.

The Bulgarian last stepped into the ring in the summer of 2022, when he lost to Derek Chisora in London. In the professional ring, his balance is 29 wins and 3 losses.

His opponent Vavrzyk has an asset of 34 wins and two defeats. The 36-year-old Pole is 195 cm tall. One of Wavrzyk's losses was in 2013 against Russian Alexander Povetkin, when he was knocked out. /BGNES
