Patriarch Daniil: Let's overcome the division in the Orthodox world

Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil appealed to BGNES to overcome the division among the Orthodox churches.

There is a broken communion between some Orthodox churches, which we must try to overcome. This was stated by His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil in response to a question of BGNES whether there is a division in the Orthodox world.

Metropolitan Daniil of Vidin was elected Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia on June 30 by the delegates of the Patriarchal Electoral Church Council. In the run-off, he prevailed over the Metropolitan Grigoriy of Vratsa with 69 to 66 votes, and there were also three invalid ballots.
