Ukraine destroyed two Russian air defense systems in Crimea

Ukrainian forces attacked S-400 and S-300 air defense missile systems in several areas of occupied Crimea on the night of June 10, the Kyiv Independent reported. According to the Ukrainian military, one S-400 anti-aircraft missile system was downed near Dzhankoy, and two more S-300 systems were attacked near Chernomorsko and Yevpatoria. "None of the missiles fired by us were intercepted by the enemy's "highly effective" air defenses," the General Staff said. The military did not provide further details on the aftermath of the attack, nor on the weaponry used. The modern Russian S-400 "Triumph" air defense system has an estimated cost of about 1.2 billion dollars. | BGNES
