The Serbian ambassador in Bulgaria was called by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The charges leveled against Sugarev and his work are ludicrous

Yordan Parvanov, General Director of European Affairs, called Zelko Jovic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today. The reason was the refusal of the Serbian border authorities to allow prominent Bulgarian intellectual and public figure Edwin Sugarev to enter the territory of the Republic of Serbia on November 8, 2023, as well as the confiscation by local authorities of a number of his books from the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Center in Bosilegrad, they reported.

What occurred was not a unique incident or precedent. This is yet another example of the Belgrade regime's explicit anti-Bulgarian and denationalizing program, which has lasted over 120 years. /BGNES
