Grigor Dimitrov lost only three games and qualified for the quarterfinals in Brisbane

Grigor Dimitrov convincingly qualified for the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 hard court tennis tournament in the Australian city of Brisbane.

The Bulgarian ranked #2 in the scheme prevailed 6:1, 6:2 over Daniel Altmeier from Germany. The meeting lasted only 68 minutes. This is Grigor's third win in three matches against this opponent. The Bulgarian led 5:0 and won the first set against Altmeier 6:1. In the second part, Dimitrov made a series of three consecutive games from 0:1 to 3:1. After that, Grigor achieved another breakthrough and closed the match with 6:2.

Dimitrov is the 2017 Brisbane champion, and today he recorded win #20 of this tournament.

For a place in the semi-finals, Dimitrov will play against Australia's Rinky Hijikata. In the first round of the tournament, Grigor eliminated Andy Murray.

Later today, Dimitrov will play in the quarterfinals and in the doubles tournament. The Bulgarian and Sebastian Korda from the USA will play against Lloyd Glasspool from Great Britain and Jean-Julien Roger from the Netherlands. /BGNES
