Meghan Markle and Prince Harry adopted Ellen DeGeneres' chicken

The 65-year-old former talk show host and her spouse Portia de Rossi have been taking extra care of one of their birds, which they named Cinky after her temporary home in an outdoor sink after she injured her leg. After their feathered friend recovered, she had a hard time settling back into her coop as she was pickier. The couple's neighbors - Harry and his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex - have agreed to take her in.

Three weeks ago, Ellen wrote on Instagram: "We had a hen that hurt her leg so we moved her to our sink. Portia was buying her a set of guest towels."

In an update shared on 01/13/24), she wrote: "The sink leg is fixed but our hens were still nibbling on it so we had to move it. Luckily there was room in our friends Harry and Meghan's coop for another one. We're still not sure what her fate with the royal title will be."

Hours later, the 'Finding Dory' star shared a video of Cinky happy with the rest of Harry and Meghan's pet hens.

She captioned the clip: "The minute they show up they'll be fostered. Update: Sinky is doing well in her new home."

During their infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, the royal couple, who have two children - Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibeth, two - showed off their chicken coop, which has been dubbed 'Archie's Chicken Coop', and explained that the chickens were rescued from a California factory farm.

Harry said: "Meghan has always dreamed of a chicken coop"./BGNES
