Serbian terror against Bulgarian minority in Serbia, police confiscate books

The Serbian regime today again demonstrated and applied terror against the Bulgarians from the Western suburbs, BGNES reports.

On the "Day of the Western Suburbs", officers of the sinister Serbian state security raided first the office of the "Cultural and Information Center "Bosilegrad" /KIC/, and then seized books of Edvin Sugarev, who is a former consul in the Serbian city of Nis. At the same time, the border policemen prevented Edvin Sugarev himself from entering the territory of Serbia and from attending tonight's presentation of his book in the club of the "Bosilegrad" Cultural Information Centre.

The Serbian State Security officers "brought charges of ethnic, racial and religious hatred" against Ivan Nikolov, the director of KIC-Bosilegrad.

What happened today is not a precedent or an isolated case. It is yet another proof of the official anti-Bulgarian and denationalisation policy of the regime in Belgrade for over 120 years. President Aleksandar Vucic and Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić are still actively and consistently involved in it today.

Only a few months ago, Vucic in Sofia personally admitted that the Bulgarians from the Western suburbs were being wiretapped, and Ivica Dačić said that 'as long as there are no Serbs in Bulgaria, there will be no Bulgarians in Serbia'. / BGNES
