Borisov tightens the party again: Our opponents are weak, let GERB be the voice of the people

Our opponents show themselves to be weak managers, you be the voice of the people," said GERB leader Boyko Borisov at the first working meeting for 2024 with the Members of Bulgarian Parliament from GERB, municipal councilors and district leaders of the party in Sofia.

A special guest at the meeting was the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Gabriel, the party headquarters informed.

During the meeting, the long-time mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova, and the regional coordinator of GERB, Daniela Raycheva, explained what the short-term and long-term goals of the party in the capital are in the next few months. The main tasks were assigned to the district coordinators, who will be constantly in the field to closely monitor the problems of the neighborhoods and report irregularities.

It was announced that the people's representatives and municipal councilors will hold regular receptions for citizens in the 24 districts of Sofia, which will be published in advance in the public space. All those who want to file a report against the local government and/or have recommendations to the party representatives will be invited to these open receptions.

"I created the party in order to be the voice of the people - we must immediately restore constant communication with the residents of Sofia at the district level," emphasized Boyko Borisov.

During the meeting, the leader of GERB announced what are the main priorities for the party in Sofia with a view to the upcoming elections for the European Parliament, which will be held in June this year. He also explained the specifics of the upcoming rotation in the Denkov-Gabriel office in March.

Borisov was adamant that the cadres of GERB, who participate in the management of the country, must be extremely educated and well prepared, so that they do not make the same mistakes as their opponents in the capital.

"We all see that our loudest critics in Sofia are extremely weak managers," Boyko Borisov also stated. /BGNES
