The Porsche car firm, a high-end manufacturer with a Chester division, is supporting the summer sustainable fashion week as part of its goal to become carbon neutral by 2030. The purpose of the fashion week event is to promote Chester as a distinctive fashion destination and to help the Cheshire high streets. Chester Cathedral and the Abode Hotel Chester are only two of the locations where the event will be held between June 13 and 15, 2024. This year's event will primarily focus on sustainability, and manufacturers and designers will share their visions for using their apparel creations to promote sustainable fashion practices.
Among the companies supporting and collaborating with this year's event are Porsche Shop, hotel chain Abode Hotels Chester, glossy magazine Swanky Magazine, and talent agency Sintillate Talent. Many international fashion designers, including the Nigerian designers Ololade Atelier and Shawler Couture, the Irish designer Original Ireland, Elie Bahar Fashion Designer, Misty Couture, Doyenne The Label, Gemma Grao Artist, Aroma Staples, The Sensualist, Rafael Azevedo, Olivia Eden, and retail fashion house White Stuff.
As part of this year's sustainable focus, visitors from Ireland, Nigeria, and the United States are anticipated in Chester, according to Claire Namukolo Raven, director of Cheshire Fashion Week. In addition to supporting regional companies and encouraging sustainable fashion practices, the event will showcase the newest trends in fashion.
