Dortmund will defend a fragile lead in the rematch with PSG

Paris Saint-Germain welcomes Borussia Dortmund in a Champions League semi-final second leg. The match at Parc des Princes starts at 22:00 Bulgarian time.

The first clash between the two teams on German soil ended with minimal success for the "yellow and black" with 1:0 at home. The hero for Edin Terzic's team was striker Niklas Fühlkrug, who scored with a precise finish that beat Parisien goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Luis Enrique's side tried to rise to the challenge, twice having strikes from Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi hit the post, but ultimately fell short and will now have to make up for it in the second leg at home.

PSG have now secured the country's championship title for a record 12th time in their history. The French giants will be looking for a second final in the most prestigious European club tournament after 2020, when they lost to Bayern Munich 0:1. The team will need a strong performance from its big star Mbappe, who will leave the Parisians in the summer. However, the first leg in Dortmund showed Paris Saint-Germain that the Dortmund side are not to be underestimated after the two sides met earlier in the group stage and both meetings ended without success for the Germans, with a draw at Signal Iduna Park and a 2-0 win for the French at home.

Borussia are fifth in the Bundesliga with 60 points, three behind fourth-placed RB Leipzig. The Black and Yellows warmed up for the return match with PSG in a fitting manner after crushing Augsburg 5-1 at home. One of the goals in the match was the work of captain Marco Reus, who announced at the weekend that he was leaving the club at the end of the season. Reus has been a Dortmund player since 2012, being a product of the Borussia academy. The Germans, who failed to win the Bundesliga last season, going down on the final day of the campaign at home to Mainz 05, will surely want to send their talisman off with a trophy. Reus has two domestic cups under his belt, but a Champions League triumph would surely be the biggest success of his career. Dortmund is fighting for a place in the first SHL final since 2013 - when the "yellow and black" lost dramatically to Bayern Munich. The team celebrated with the "Ushata" in 1997 when they beat Juventus 3:1.

The main judge of the rematch will be the Italian Daniele Orsato. The winner goes to the final at Wembley on June 1, where they will face either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.
