Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and Maria Luisa also attended the event, as well as many other dignitaries and guests.

During the performance of the national anthem, 20 artillery salutes were produced, and at the end of the ceremony three MiG-29 aircraft flew over Alexander Nevsky Square.

BGNES reminds that this year the military parade in the capital on the occasion of May 6 was cancelled, as there is a coincidence of Easter holidays with the holiday of the Bulgarian army, as the interim Minister of Defence Atanas Zapryanov explained that priority is given to the nationwide celebration of Easter. /BGNES
