Amazon to invest $9 billion in Singapore

Amazon will invest $9 billion in Singapore over the next four years.
The tech giant said this amount doubles its investment in the city-state and will help it meet growing demand for cloud services and deploy artificial intelligence.
"AWS (Amazon Web Services) is doubling its investment in cloud infrastructure in Singapore from 2024 to 2028 to support customer demand and help strengthen Singapore's status as an attractive regional launchpad for innovation...," the company said in a statement.
Last week, the e-commerce titan said profit in the first three months of 2024 had tripled as its cloud services, advertising and retail businesses thrived. /BGNES
