George Clooney: I'm happy my kids believe in Santa Claus

Actor George Clooney, 62, has six-year-old twins Alexander and Ella with wife Amal Clooney, 45, and revealed that if they misbehave during the year, he enlists the help of a friend who poses as the jovial fat man to remind them to behave themselves again on Christmas Eve.

The actor told People: "They still believe in and love Santa, which is very helpful and makes me happy. When my kids are misbehaving, say in July, Santa suddenly calls me. And I'm like, " Hello Santa, how are you?" And he replies: "Everything is fine. How are the kids? And I'm like, "Well, I don't know. Kids, how are you? They start grumbling and then I forgive them, but I actually have a friend whose phone comes up as 'Santa Claus.'

The 'Ticket to Heaven' star previously explained he was in for a real shock when he learned two babies were on the way, after initially expecting just one. Clooney has previously admitted that he would like to become a father later in life.

Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, he said: "It wasn't part of the plan. Amal's sister is having twins too! At 12 weeks we went to that place where you say, 'There's the baby' to look at the picture. And [the doctor] told us, 'It's a boy. Then he says: "Ah, there is also a girl". And I was like, "What? It almost sounded like a disaster to me at the time. I felt like, "Are you kidding me? And now this is the best thing in the world. Then I was horrified! It sounded terrifying to me to suddenly and suddenly become the father of two children!"/BGNES
