Minnesota beat Phoenix again to close on semifinal spot

The Minnesota Timberwolves are very close to their first playoff victory in 20 years after defeating the Phoenix Suns 126:109 on the road in the third game of the series between the two teams. Thus, Minnesota is already leading 3-0 and needs one more success to qualify for the semifinals in the Western Conference.

For the third game in a row, the Timberwolves produced a strong third period to break down their opponent. This time, they hit seven 3-pointers in the third quarter, which they won 36-20, securing the win. Six visiting players scored 13 or more points, with Anthony Edwards leading the way with 36 points, center Rudy Gober had 19 points and 14 rebounds, and Karl Anthony-Towns finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds. For the Suns, Bradley Beal led the way with 28 points, Kevin Durant scored 25, and Devin Booker scored 23.

Minnesota imposed brutal dominance under the basket, taking 60 rebounds to just 33 for the opponent. So Phoenix faces a huge disappointment after the team started the season with championship ambitions that rested on the shoulders of the star trio - Durant, Booker and Beal.

The fourth game in the series is again in Phoenix, on Monday at 4:30 am Bulgarian time.
